Juegos

Wii games

  1. Nanomechas : A great game which is better than in the last release because it has corrected the problem of Exception DSI. I'm not old enough to recognize all the game that inspired the author but it's really entertaining and propose multiplayer gaming !
    Also, it has a nice sound background even if I find the background a bit repetitive but I cannot imagine how it could have been with the context. Moreover, it's a complete game, not only a demo.
  2. Robi : It has a simple concept but has beautiful cartoon of presentation, and is made in 3D. Which represent a lot of work. Infortunatly, controls with the wiimote are note really easy to get in hand and the camera is a bit weird while jumping. It could be a good game if it had more than one level.
  3. Wiipeng : This game is one of the classic games that coders make for beginning. It's not really entertaining because it does not propose any special feature that is missing in this kind of game I think. To make it better, you should add the possibility to play alone against an AI.
  4. Dispara a la Diana : Sorry I didn't understood the aim of such a game… Well it's a basic game which uses the pointer of the wiimote to click on a square which moves each time we click on it… Some experiment with the wii I think. Now, you should try add limits to the square to avoid it to go out of the screen.

Scape : my wii game for Scenebeta 2010.

Wii games

Hi  ! These are my three votes. You can find all detailed observations below.

1 - Scape

2 - Robi

3 - .... WiiPeng ... (If I could only vote for two games, I'd remove
that one without hesitation)

Details :

WiiPeng!

========

Graphics :

    Nice starfield background and olschool shapes.

Controls :

    Really basic Pong-like.

GamePlay :

    Really buggy collisions : the ball even gets stuck when you hit it form top or bottom.

    After 2 hits, the ball doesn't bounce in the right direction.

    No altering angle when hitting from the ends of the rectangles, so there's absolutely no subtility in gameplay.

    Missing choice between P1 VS P2 and P1 VS AI (pong AI is not really hard to code)

Sound :

    Boring music playing over and over.

    No sound effect (a simple beep when hitting wall and rectangles would have been enough...)

Bugs :

    It says "Felicidades Jugador 2" whenever any player wins.

    Badly coded.

Comment :

    A beginner coder's game... It could be better if it had some of the above suggestions, but absolutely not interesting yet.

Shoot Diana

===========

Graphics :

    Two sprites, no background, no comment.

Controls :

    Aiming at the screen...

Gameplay :

    Aiming at screen isn't enough to make a game... No timer ? No score ? No ending ? Not a game !

    Sometimes the target isn't even on the screen, you have to find it hiding on the screen's borders.

Sound :

    sound = NULL;

Comment :

    I played this 4 whole minutes hoping there would be something else...

Robi

====

Graphics :

    Nice drawed intro.

    The 3D graphics are OK. The lights and textures are fine but the models are too simple.

    So, nothing really fancy there, but it works.

Controls :

    Really desappointed there... The motion controls are horrible. It would have been a lot better to use the nunchuk stick.

    The camera controls are fine.

Gameplay :

    I don't really like items collecting games, but if it wasn't for the awful controls, I would have accepted it.

    You have to choose moving around reaaaaally slowly or end up dead... Not so fun.

    Also, only one level...

Sound :

    The musics are cool. Too bad they were not made especially for the game, but good choice though.

Comment :

    I honnestly tried this game many times wondering if I was just bad at it. But no, the controls are too bad to be fun.

    After a few games, I couldn't play anymore, the game just kept on stack dumping my face.

    Big expectations, big disappointment...

Scape

=====

Graphics :

    Nice sprites and backgrounds, but the animations are a bit poor...

Controls :

    The character's inertia is a bit weird sometimes, but the physics engine is well used.

Gameplay :

    The level design is pretty good.

    Some levels show lack of inspiration, some are really frustrating, but each world brings diffrent challenges.

Sound :

    Musics are great and fit well to each world.

Comment :

    The concept behind the game is pretty cool but it's a few details away from being a great game.

    I thinks it deserves a bit more refining in controls, physics and level design to become awesome.

    My personnal favorite here.

EvilTroopa.

Juegos
